Overview

NGO Darpan is the NITI Aayog portal that lists voluntary organisations and issues each a unique ID. It carries no fee.

Ministries and departments require that unique ID before a voluntary organisation can apply for grant funding, so in practice it is a precondition for government support rather than an optional listing. It is also where departments and donors look an organisation up.

Registration puts the organisation's details, office bearers, sector and activity on the official record, which is part of how a funder forms a view of you before any conversation. We complete the registration and keep the record current as trustees and activities change.
