ZED Certificate

Overview

ZED — Zero Defect, Zero Effect — is a government-backed rating of an MSME manufacturer on quality and environmental impact, delivered in progressive levels so a business improves through the scheme rather than being judged once.

It is subsidised: the scheme provides fee support for MSMEs, with higher assistance for micro enterprises and for women-owned units and certain categories. A ZED rating is a credential large buyers and tender committees recognise, and it sits alongside other benefits available to rated units.

The value beyond the certificate is the roadmap. Progressing through the levels is a practical improvement programme for the shop floor — measurement, process control, waste and safety. We handle the assessment, the documentation and the evidence at each level.
